More evidence of evolution

Bah! My offline blog editor - Ecto - had issues (somehow) after an Outlook problem… Not happy Jan, as it means the last 3 link catchups are lost to the bits & bytes. Check out my delicious page for items of olde.

Some tidbits of the last few days though, including some very interesting ones:

  • As you probably know, Telstra launched its mobile TV offering last week. It has emerged that ad agency BWM (who also hold the Telstra Bigpond ad account) are actually responsible for the Big Five channel (along with Radical Media) - The Aust article here.
  • Apparently Telstra &  Publicis Mojo are to launch a JV that will sell the advertising across the Telstra NextG network - Fairfax article here.
  • Liam Walsh is leaving Fairfax Digital, to head up Drive Performance Network (DrivePM) - the final one of the aQuantive companies to setup shop in Australia - The Aust article here.
  • Google  has launched Doodle 4 Google - My Australia -  a competition that gets school kids to have a go at designing a Google Doodle, that’ll be shown on the AU homepage on Aust Day next year.
  • Microsoft’s free analytics product - codenamed ‘Gatineau’ - will include demographic data taken from MSN-registered users (or is it called Live these days, or something else altogether - I can never keep up they change its name that often) - see a post here.
