Happy birthday to my mum for yesterday!
Here’s a few links from the last few days. While I’m heads down in a few projects, posting will continue to be light, but I’m always bookmarking stuff on my delicious page.
- CarSales is looking to publicly float by the end of this year - The Oz article.
- There was a rumour going around Sydney earlier this week a head of a publisher would be stepping down soon (it also was posted on the idustry forum) Ninemsn’s Faure seemed to be prime candidate, according to this The Oz article, but its been flatly denied.
- David Card from Jupiter has the take on where Google is going with its DoubleClick purchase - namely a combined ad exchange of both search and display
- A couple of weeks back Telstra chief Sol presented to media buyers in Sydney promoting all the Telstra opps and how much media potential there is. (B&T article - reg reqd)
- Video on demand: Joost announced CBS - producer of CSI etc - has signed up to show its programs on the video platform.
- Search clickfraud: Some Google engineers have released a paper on a study of a detected click bot illustrating how it works (dry reading, but still interesting)
